EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:Santa Rosa Junior College is currently accepting applications to establish a pool for part-time associate faculty assignments. Associate assignments are temporary, part-time or on-call. This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather to establish a pool of candidates who may be considered for part-time faculty assignments.We are seeking equity-minded faculty who are committed to educating our diverse student population. Santa Rosa Junior College has been an integral part of the Sonoma County community and its rich history, beauty and culture for more than 100 years.SRJC is a public two-year community college, which serves the County of Sonoma and portions of Marin and Mendocino counties. The

District

has two campuses, located in Santa Rosa and Petaluma, California, two centers, a Public Safety Training Center located in Windsor, California, and the Robert Shone Agricultural Center located in Forestville, California, and our newest site in the Roseland area of the City of Santa Rosa. Students may choose from over 100 associate degree majors and certificate programs, complete courses toward the first two years of a bachelor’s degree

program, or

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Master's Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics;

OR

Bachelor's Degree in either previously mentioned and Master's Degree in Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics Education;

OR

the equivalent;

OR

possession of a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Mathematics.

Requires a sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Transcripts must include a minimum of three distinct semester- (or four distinct quarter-) length graduate level courses (with a math department prefix) from the following list:Real Analysis, or equivalentLinear Algebra, or equivalentAbstract Algebra, or equivalentProbability Theory, or equivalentComplex Analysis, or equivalentNumerical Analysis, or equivalentTopology, or equivalentNumber Theory, or equivalentLogic/Set Theory, or equivalentDifferential Equations, or equivalentDifferent courses in a sequence of courses, e.g. Real Analysis I, Real Analysis II, etc., count as distinct courses.In order to be considered for this associate faculty pool, applicants must provide the following:A completed Santa Rosa Junior College/GovernmentJobs.com Employment Application and responses to Agency-wide Questions.Contact information (phone number and email address) for three professional references.

Article 27.Sick Leave Accrual: Associate faculty accrue sick leave on a pro-rated basis.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (Prior to beginning employment):In accordance with Federal Law, all employees must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.Must be fingerprinted

in California
