The Human Capital Office leads the district's strategy around one of the Blueprint focus areas to create pipelines for highly qualified teachers. As a large urban school district with over 11,000 employees serving nearly 80,000 students, the district requires a highly strategic and diversified approach to talent development and organizational development. Under the direction of the Manager - Staffing Partnerships, the Specialist for Staffing Partnerships supports the development and management of projects and processes that create an expansion of staffing pipelines to ensure that every student is served by a highly qualified teacher. The Specialist provides administrative support and manages the day-to-day operations to ensure the effective coordination of both technical and administrative support.

Essential Functions

Supports the management of external partnerships with institutions of higher education and alternative route programs for a variety of staffing pipelines, including intern (student) teachers, conditional certification programs, resident teacher certification programs, helping non-degreed staff obtain bachelor's degrees to become teachers, and administrative credentialing programs.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with a wide range of district staff, school stakeholders, and community partners.

Builds and supports the recruitment of a highly effective and talented workforce to support student achievement through effective management practices and processes.

Develops and implements processes for evaluating the effectiveness of partnerships and programs.

Provides support to applicants and pipeline partners by responding to questions and system issues to ensure quality customer service.

Performs all functions related to the employment lifecycle (recruiting, selection, hiring, licensing/certification, and retention), serving as a point of contact for the Human Capital Office and human capital efforts.

Performs credential reviews for candidates and assists in the recruitment, screening, and support of new school partners/operators.

Manages pipeline information to inform directors, managers, and executive leadership to enable fact-based decision making and to support the organization in staying abreast of workforce needs/supports, patterns, and trends.

Collects related human capital information and reviews it with specific district departments to ensure issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, and the professional standards.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.

At least three years of full-time professional experience in an educational or nonprofit organization.

Other equivalent combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

Advanced skills in the use of Windows environment and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, and Outlook.
