Our customer applications require high-speed (GHz) ICs for optical media access and signal transport. These applications are characterized by international development, fast design cycles, and demanding analog performance.Responsibilities:Specialize in MACOM’s High Performance Analog ICs and their specific applications.Provide expert-level engineering support to customers, sales, FAEs, and marketing.Work with design engineering to produce product documentation and applications collateral.As a product specialist, solve challenging problems through analysis and hands-on lab work.Qualifications / Skills:A BSEE or similar degree and 5 years of experience in a related position are required.A MSEE degree is preferred or equivalent experience.Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills are essential.Experience with high-performance analog applications is required.A background in Design, Product, Evaluation, or Test Engineering in a mixed signal or analog environment is considered beneficial to a successful candidate.Lab experience should include advanced test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and BERTs.Specific experience with high-speed electrical or optical transmission interfaces is highly desirable.Extrapolating the measured results to circuit analysis in a customer setting is crucial to success.A familiarity with optical transmission module construction and associated standards is highly desirable.EEO:MACOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.
