In addition to ensuring the successful execution of projects related to core Finance functions such as financial reporting, accounting close, strategic modeling, and more, the PMO is responsible for the improvement of Finance’s foundational capabilities overall and supporting the culture shift along the way.Position SummaryThe Finance True North Strategy is a 3-year vision for Finance that delivers on our triple bottom line of serving people, the planet, and California’s prosperity. Part of how we will achieve those objectives is through strategic programs established to recruit at universities, onboard new coworkers, and enhance our work experience and organizational affinity and interdependence.In this role, you will work closely with program sponsors and leads to run several Finance-wide programs critical to our stand of having a forward-looking and highly capable Finance team. You will maintain a clear cadence and structure for the programs and occasionally present to a governance forum to allow for executive decision making. You will also be responsible for Finance-wide communications supporting these programs and our transformation journey as well as creating visibility across the Enterprise of the progress made along the way.The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office 1-2x weekly or as business needs require.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $122,000Bay Area Maximum: $194,000Job ResponsibilitiesManage and sustain Finance-wide programs to strengthen our foundational capabilities, recruit and retain top talent, and increase joy at work major cross-functional projects and initiatives. Programs include:Associate Program: Rotational graduate program attracting and retaining top talent from targeted universities for associate level positions within FinanceMBA Program: Rotational experienced hiring programs attracting and retaining top talent from targeted universities for expert level positions at PG&ENew Hire Onboarding Program: Comprised of hiring supervisor trainings, structured networking events, departmental orientations, financial acumen and regulatory training, and affinity building eventsJoy Council: Increase joy at work through special events and programs; Promote and track Finance recognition goals and progress; own Finance events calendarSolve unique and complex problems, remove barriers to success, anticipate issues and develop innovative solutionsDemonstrate strategic leadership with internal stakeholders to support Finance goals.Develop and track program goals and metrics to meet Finance and company goals and objectives.Collaborate across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.Maintain Finance calendarQualificationsMinimum:Bachelor degree or equivalent business experience8 years of related work experienceDesired:Master’s degree preferredPortfolio management or program management experience with integration of diverse projectsAbility to simplify and reduce issues to their fundamental causesAbility to build escalation processes and drive to resolutionsHigh degree of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills– including ability to interact, collaborate, and influence at the executive levelHighly organized, with demonstrated ability to plan and balance multiple priorities at onceExperience with visual managementStrong skills in project management, benchmarking, and continuous improvementAbility to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvementsAbility to lead large, complex programs across Finance and cross-functionallyDeep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry driversAbility to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputsAdept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
