At Goldman Sachs, SRE is responsible for the availability and reliability of our firm's most critical platform services and ensures they meet the requirements of our internal and external users. We look for engineers who are motivated to collaborate with our businesses to build and run sustainable production systems, which can evolve and adapt to changes in our fast-paced, global business environment.What we are doing:As part of the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, SRE is responsible for managing risk associated with reliability and resilience (Digital Resiliency) at the firm. This includes responsibility for governance oversight, policies/standards, controls, reliability/resilience risk metrics, reporting, training, etc. We are looking for an experienced associate to provide support for the risk oversight and program management for this effort. A successful candidate will work with the SRE lead, engineering teams that provide Digital Resiliency solutions and execution, risk governance functions at all lines, and the engineering teams embedded in the business; as well as representing the risks associated with Digital Resiliency within the firm's enterprise risk management framework.How will you fulfill your potential:You are energetic, self-directed and self-motivated, able to build and sustain long-term relationships with colleagues.You possess a strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broad team.You are capable of balancing the needs of a fast-moving business environment with a focus on managing operational risk.You are data-focused, with the ability to define risk and performance metrics for complex technology environments.You are organized, with the ability to support preparing status updates, maintain agendas/minutes, track action items and initiate escalations to relevant governance groups and senior leaders.Responsibilities and Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.Coordinate tasks and responsibilities among team members and stakeholders.Ability to gather, analyze and create ad-hoc reports, mine data for trends, and work with engineers to automate reporting.Proficient with Excel, Jira, PowerPoint, and Confluence (or equivalent).Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with regulatory compliance within the financial or technology sectors.Experience with enterprise risk management, including issue management and KPI/KRI definition.Experience with technology risk management and mitigation strategies in tightly-regulated environments, such as financial services.Previous responsibility for oversight of risk management programs.Previous experience with technology resiliency and reliability (e.g., resiliency architecture, disaster recovery, capacity management, technology alerting/monitoring, logging, etc.).Awareness of SRE.Ability to develop reporting and data analytics in Python, R, or similar tooling.
