Primary Talent Partners has a hybrid 12-month contract Human Factors Engineer opening with one of our Medical Device clients based in Boston, MA.Pay:

$45 to $55 per hour W2, No C2C Candidates at this timeContract:

12 Months, Potential for contract extension/conversion based on performance, budget, and business needsJob Description:We are seeking a talented Human Factors Engineer to join our team supporting the Surgical OU product portfolio. The ideal candidate will apply human-centered design principles to the development of medical devices, ensuring user safety, usability, and effectiveness. This position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence 3 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Apply human factors methodologies and principles to the design of human-machine systems and medical devices.Develop and implement both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to test and evaluate new concepts and prototypes at various stages of product development.Design and execute usability tests to simulate product use, investigate user needs, and validate usability with intended users.Collaborate with design engineers to optimize human-machine interfaces and overall user experience.Perform usability risk analysis, identifying and addressing risks related to human factors in the development process.Identify and analyze technological problems, performing human factors investigations to inform design direction for new products.Contribute to the completion of project milestones and may provide guidance to entry-level professionals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Engineering, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience in a human factors role within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, healthcare, aerospace, etc.).Strong experience in study execution and moderation.Proficiency in usability risk analysis.Ability to work independently on moderately complex projects with general supervision.Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with internal stakeholders to inform decision-making.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting the development of medical devices or other regulated products.Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.Primary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
