Cetera Financial Group (CFG) is currently seeking an Investment Advisory Platform Manager to support the ongoing enhancements and growth of our RIA Services business line. This is a unique opportunity to participate in architecting, developing and managing a newly launched advisory platform primarily serving independent RIAs. Collaboration with internal departments such as operations, digital solutions, compliance, and research, as well as with external strategic partners, is a critical component of this role.

This is a hybrid role, one day weekly in the office. Candidate must be located near an office hub: El Segundo, CA, San Diego, CA, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA, St Cloud, MN, St Paul, MN, or Atlanta, GA.

What you need to have:

Platform Development

Participate in the design and development of the advisory platform in alignment with the company’s vision and strategy

Manage platform enhancements from concept to launch, including documenting scope, managing requirements, assisting with prioritization, and facilitating the post-live transition to business as usual

Communicate and work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations for delivery

Prepare and present platform updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders

Act as an advisory platform subject matter expert on projects

Maintain knowledge of current and emerging industry trends

Analyze financial and other data including competitive intel

Platform Management

Work with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and on-budget delivery of initiatives

Manage customizations and issue resolution for advisors as well as internal departments such as compliance, digital solutions, and operations

Collaborate across internal teams and business lines to identify, develop, and execute enhancements

Assist in the creation of content for advisor-facing materials such as FAQs and job aids

Support the consulting and sales teams in driving adoption of the platform

Develop reports, dashboards, and other illustrations to inform business decision-making

Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve the platform experience

Vendor Management

Assist with the management of third-party vendor relationships including financial planning, performance reporting, and portfolio management relationships

Assist with enhancement requests and issue resolution

What you need to have:

Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university

8+ years of experience in the financial services industry

Securities licenses (Series 7, 24, 63/65, 66) preferred

Previous experience with fintech systems like Orion, Envestnet, or Black Diamond preferred

Knowledge of the RIA landscape preferred

Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Initiative and desire to go above and beyond to deliver a first-class client experience

Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure with tight and shifting deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and team player mentality who can work with different groups looking to accomplish varied objectives

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, acts with professionalism when dealing with clients, business partners, and senior management
