Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Associate Producer, Digital Gaming will help guide the production of new licensed digital gaming experiences on multiple platforms including console, mobile, and PC/online. This role will partner with licensees to oversee development of games that meet the highest quality standards and embody the best of Mattel’s brands. You will drive execution of project plans, review deliverables, and secure approvals for build milestones. You will serve as an advocate for the games with internal stakeholders and work closely with the marketing team and other cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on product development and release campaigns.

This opportunity is a great fit for anyone who has experience in video game production and ideally has worked with well-known brands, either for a developer or a licensor. Ability to manage multiple projects is a must. This role needs to be able to forge internal and external relationships.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Partner with licensees to drive development of best-in-class digital gaming experiences that showcase Mattel brands

Supervise all aspects of production - build project plans, maintain production calendars, and oversee asset deliverables

Serve as primary liaison with internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Brand, Business Development, Legal) to ensure alignment on strategy and brand standards from project inception through release

Lead reviews of build milestones, providing guidance and feedback to licensees with a product-first mindset focused on creating the highest quality games

Stay on top of game industry trends and the competitive landscape to help continually evolve our thinking and product standards

Ensure continuous improvement by analyzing game performance with licensees to identify areas of optimization

Present production updates to broader Digital Games, Brand, and Franchise Teams

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of production/project management experience in digital gaming, ideally working with well-known brands

Detailed understanding of the principles of game production

Strong time management, planning and project execution skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships

Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Workfront, and Trello

Highly organized project manager, detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Passion for digital games

Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves

The annual base salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000. This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
