What will you need?
8+ years of experience in graphic design roles, at least 2-3 years in senior designer/art director leadership roles
Proven experience coaching and managing more junior designers
Strongly prefer experience with retail brands and packaging
Proven experience building/redesigning brand identities and guidelines
Deep understanding of design principles and creative process best practices
Experience art directing campaigns with photo/video/digital components a plus
Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite
What will you do?
The Art Director is a senior lead within the Creative Services team. This person is responsible for managing a group of graphic designers, leading visual consistency through all created assets, and working closely with the creative director to ensure designs align with the overall brand strategy and guidelines. They also drive creativity and design thinking within the team, finding new ways to approach problems, and ensuring that the brand is always innovative and unique.
This position requires experience managing design teams, either in an in-house or agency environment. Candidates will have a portfolio that demonstrates high-level graphic design, campaign execution, and specifically retail/CPG packaging artwork experience.
Refine and define visual brand system
Develop graphic design related areas of brand guidelines: logo and typography, color palettes, visual elements, and more. Develop clear SOPs for the design team around the creative process, high- and low-complexity projects, presenting work, and receiving/interpreting feedback
Build on-brand templates for common project types: web assets, emails, paid media, organic social
Develop packaging design system to unify product portfolio
Lead rollout of packaging refresh across all SKUs
