YesNature of Work:The Director, Match Presentation position oversees the planning, logistics, activation, execution and overall fan experience of Rapids home games and club events. They are responsible for the overall ‘door-to-door’ experience for all Rapids fans on game day.Examples of work performed:Design and lead an innovative fan experience program, consistently identifying opportunities to enhance the overall matchday experience.Directs every aspect of match presentation to ensure proper timing, organization, and desired effects pertaining to league mandates, team requirements, and sponsorship agreements while working closely with public address announcers, game clock operators, and officials.Direct all match presentation staff including cameras, technical director, graphics/video operators, music, lighting/spot ops, sound, fascia/matrix op, production assistants, and coordinators.Produces public addresses and timing game scripts, including but not limited to the pre-game team and sponsor features, team introductions and announcements, gameday sponsor reads/promotions and all match entertainment elements.Oversee development of graphic, animated, and video packages for video boards, LED boards, and fascia including but not limited to replays, player introductions, sponsor features, and player statistics in partnership with VP, Media, and Senior Director, Creative and Brand.Work closely with Rapids Digital, Marketing, and Broadcast to produce all videos, graphics, and other features; assist with video edits to ensure timing and desired image are achieved.Books and manages entertainment for pre-game and halftimes for all home games.Work with Marketing and Partnership Marketing to develop and activate on-brand sponsorship assets to garner revenue opportunities for the club.Alongside the Senior Director, Community Impact and Events, develop and manage the integrated planning of all club events, leading all departmental stakeholders through project and timeline management.Work with the Director, Fan Development to implement, track and strive to improve across key guest experience metrics (i.e. net promoter score).Responsible for the supervision and professional development of the Event Coordinator.Inspire, motivate, and supervise all match presentation staff including Street Team, production assistants, coordinators, and supporting commercial departments.Work closely with Stadium Operations, KSE Risk and Asset Management and Communications to develop, implement, and execute Crisis Management Emergency Action plan.Manage the budget and staffing levels for match presentation.Serve as club liaison with stadium management and operations.Works closely with MLS representatives to ensure the success of matchdays.Understanding and communicating sports and entertainment industry trends to ensure the company is ahead of the curve.Executing other duties as assigned.Working Conditions & Physical Demands:Typical Office ConditionsLift 50 lbs. dailyWork in extreme weather conditionsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or equivalent.Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in professional sports team game entertainment, video production, or closely related functions, including at least two years in video and live production, staging, and special effects and direct supervision of other(s).Minimum of 3+ years’ experience directing live sports presentations.Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience in video staging, production/editing techniques, and event/live performance coordination and production.Possesses knowledge of and passion for the sport of soccer and a deep understanding of the characteristics of soccer fans and soccer culture.Has an active interest in and appreciation for emerging trends in global popular culture; understanding of Colorado-based consumers and local market nuances preferred.Works well in a team environment.Proficient writing and presentation skills, scripts, storyboards, and timing sheets.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Internally motivated with an acute attention to detail.A mature, capable communicator who can make arguments clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, driving meetings toward actionable outcomes.Strong understanding of customer segmentation and how to address the different needs of each consumer group.Strong knowledge of and passion for professional soccer in Colorado, the US, and worldwide.Knowledge of the Colorado marketplace and media landscape.Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.Compensation:Base salary range $90,000.00 per annumBenefits Include:12 Paid Company HolidaysHealth Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid Time Off (PTO)Life InsuranceShort and Long-term DisabilityHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending plans (FSAs)401K/Employer MatchAll applicants for employment at KSE may be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencing employment.
