K&L Wine Merchants is widely known by wine & spirits enthusiasts nationwide. We commonly hear that people love seeing our deals and reading educational content through our tasting notes, newsletters, and targeted email marketing campaigns. We are seeking an experienced
Copywriter
to lead the content creation process and to be a strong representation of the K&L brand.
You will be responsible for creating and editing clear, compelling marketing copy, ensuring accuracy and holding consistency with our brand identity. You are collaborative and will enjoy working with the editing team, buyers, and other colleagues to ensure accurate email marketing content is delivered according to deadlines.
You will complete all HTML coding and assist with QA on emails to ensure accuracy of copy, assets, segmentation, and links while adhering to editing and syntax guidelines and best practices.
Your passion for wine & spirits will be apparent as you exemplify your knowledge of products, regions, vintages, market trends, media coverage, and tasting scores. Your writing style will demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the competitive landscape and what motivates our customers and collectors to continue to choose K&L’s products.
The qualified candidate will have strong working knowledge of HTML and 1-3 years of professional, exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills, a sense of urgency, as well as an understanding and passion for fine wines & spirits.
Being adaptable to emerging technologies and proficiency in Office 365, Mailchimp, Tableau, and Squarespace are required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
This is a hybrid role with 1 – 3 days per week in store. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to one of our retail stores.
