The BDM for Fire Protection will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, identifying and penetrating new markets and lead in refinement and implementation of the sales and marketing planning function. This position works closely with Wilkins senior managers and with key Fire Protection customers and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable business growth. This position is remote and requires approximately 75% travel and will be responsible for the U.S. Southeast region.Key Accountabilities
Commercialize new sustainable and competitive fire protection line(s) for internal and external customers by identifying target customers, develop fire protection line(s) that deliver high value proposition for the target, and execute same in order to profitably grow the business.Pursue opportunities to increase share with existing customers.Conduct competitive research on fire protection market opportunities aligned with Wilkins manufacturing capabilities.Interface with Wilkins production, engineering, finance on critical issues such as the pricing, production/customer demand and interface/delivery process forecasting and inventory management, to ensure customer requirements are met on a timely basis.Monitor actual Sales and Marketing performance to budget and report significant variances to management on a monthly basisEnsure that customer satisfaction goals are established and achieved.Coordinates opportunities with Area Sales Managers within their region.Work with ASM's to develop action plans and execution to drive share gain with target Contractors and Engineers.Work with product management and engineering to provide "Voice of the customer" product and service feedback as it relates to Zurn Elkay, our competitors, and emerging trends.Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree; preferably in marketing or business management.Proven 3 to 5 years sales management/technical experience as well as distribution calling on owners, specifiers and contractors for fire protection.Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.Well versed in establishing strategic accounts and managing product development projectsTakes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments and deadlines.Proven ability to produce and execute detailed marketing plans and profitably grow sales revenueUses compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are required including a demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment.Self-motivated, dependable, and ethically driven individual.Possesses a strong working knowledge of PC- based computing and Microsoft Office products.Strong business acumen-detail oriented, analytical and strategic thinking skillsTotal Rewards and Benefits
