Certification DetailsAHA or ARC accepted ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred or required for certain specialties as per unit description.Job DetailsPCU/MS/ED Hold-Float PoolMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit doesn't accept first time travelersPATIENT POPULATION: Adults to GeriatricsRATIO: 1:4-1/6UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC & SBARUNIT DESCRIPTION: This position will be hospital float pool staff and will be expected to float throughout the hospital. Nurses in this role will be caring for post surgical, medical, PCU stepdown on IP units and ER as hold patients. Competencies for these services as well as critical drips will be expected. Ratios are 1:4-1:6 depending on patient acuity. Vent management, intensive/critical care and ED experience PREFERRED so RN can be utilized fully as a float pool staff memberMust have experience: Cardiac drips, TR band removal and Bipap usage, ACLS BLSENPC PreferredCOMPLIANCE: Full compliance required to start on time, if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.Job Requirements2 years minimum experience requiredExperience with Cardiac drips, TR band removal, and Bipap usage requiredACLS BLS requiredVent management, intensive/critical care, and ED experience preferredENPC PreferredSchedule InformationSCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:RTO: MAX 7 days, Block Scheduling Not Guaranteed No RTO 3/29-4/7; 7/4-7/7WEEKENDS: Every OtherFLOATING: Within facility and to sister campus if neededHOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays.
