Salary: $210,000 - $240,000 per year

Job Details

We are seeking a hands-on VP of Electrical Engineering, specifically focused on driving projects within the utility-scale solar sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in utility-scale solar projects, with a proven track record in electrical engineering, management, strategy, architecture, and customer/client-facing.

As the VP of Electrical Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing all aspects of electrical engineering, including the design, development, and implementation of innovative solar energy solutions.
  2. Leading and managing a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality performance and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  3. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve product offerings, increase efficiency, and meet company objectives.
  4. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and client needs.
  5. Representing the company in client meetings, industry events, and other public forums, demonstrating thought leadership in the field of electrical engineering and solar energy.
  6. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry trends and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of the energy sector.
  7. Ensuring all engineering activities and processes comply with industry standards and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within the electrical engineering field, preferably in the renewable energy or solar sector.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in utility-scale solar projects.
  4. Proven experience in client-facing role, collaborating with sales team on client meetings.
  5. Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and/or Bluebeam.
  6. Must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves within electrical engineering
