Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent for a permanent position in our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all field operations on the construction site, ensuring that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. This role plays a pivotal part in coordinating and overseeing the construction process from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end.
2. Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
3. Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
4. Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule.
5. Conduct quality control duties and responsibilities concerning the work being performed.
6. Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
7. Establish, implement, and manage the project quality control plan.
8. Ensure that all materials and equipment are installed and tested in accordance with project plans and specifications.
9. Conduct regular meetings with project team to discuss progress and resolve issues.
10. Ensure that the worksite remains clean and safe at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy civil construction industry.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
4. Thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
5. Strong knowledge of construction safety laws and regulations.
6. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
7. Proficient in construction management software.
8. Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
9. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
10. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
11. Excellent skills in Quality Control.
