Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 per year

Job Details

This role involves designing electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems for bidding and construction purposes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing design and construction projects both internally and with clients and contractors.
  • Providing mentorship, guidance, and leadership to staff engineers.
  • Preparing, reading, and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Professionally stamping drawings, preparing affidavits, and related tasks.
  • Communicating with owners, clients, architects, and contractors, and leading meetings as needed.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques and criteria for assigned tasks.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and personnel to meet project deadlines.
  • Applying engineering principles to research, design, and evaluate systems, products, and processes aligned with project goals.
  • Designing and specifying system components to ensure conformance with project requirements.
  • Analyzing client design requirements, manuals, and data to assess the feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs of designs.
  • Reviewing contractor submittals (e.g., shop drawings) for compliance with contract documents.

Requirements:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in MEP design
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Massachusetts PE license required
  • Proven experience in both internal and external project management
  • Strong background in MEP design and specification development
  • Skilled in managing and maintaining relationships with Owners and Architects
  • Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, and Commercial sectors
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
