Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trust Tax Compliance and Planning: Prepare and review complex trust tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, focusing on trust-related issues.
  • Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their unique financial situations and provide tailored tax solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.
  • Research and Analysis: Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations related to trusts. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other tax professionals in the firm to ensure integrated service delivery. Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax-related risks associated with trust structures. Ensure adherence to professional standards and firm policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license or working towards obtaining it.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on trust taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
