We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Construction Project Manager for our rapidly expanding Engineering firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a solid background in commercial construction, who is passionate about leading teams and managing projects from inception to completion. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, planning, execution, control and closure to ensure adherence to client’s objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage and lead project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, resources, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, identifying any issues or risks that could impact project timeline or budget.
- Implement risk management processes and conduct risk assessments to minimize project risks.
- Ensure all projects are compliant with OSHA 30 safety standards.
- Utilize MS Office suite for project documentation, presentation, and tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a record of leading and managing teams effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically in MS Project and Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 30 safety regulations and standards.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
