We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, handling insurance defense and insurance coverage matters, and managing civil litigation cases. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you will be able to utilize your legal knowledge and skills to their fullest extent. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on insurance defense and civil litigation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of legal matters.
  2. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
  3. Review and analyze insurance policies to provide advice on insurance coverage matters.
  4. Handle insurance defense cases, working diligently to protect the interests of our clients.
  5. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  6. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  7. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of our clients.
  8. Supervise legal assistants and paralegals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends that may affect our clients.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on insurance defense, insurance coverage, and civil litigation.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
  6. Proficient in legal research and writing.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Proficiency in legal software and technology.
