Job Details:

We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is not your average maintenance technician role; it offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our cutting-edge production equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of PLC, PLC Programming, Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  1. Carrying out routine maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
  2. Diagnosing breakdown problems, troubleshooting issues, and finding solutions to them.
  3. Implementing preventive maintenance programs that comply with our policies and procedures.
  4. Applying PLC, PLC Programming, Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley knowledge to optimize equipment performance.
  5. Working closely with other team members to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and help develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.
  6. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  2. Proven experience with PLC, PLC Programming, Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley.
  3. Demonstrated skills in Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
  4. Experience in implementing and executing effective preventative maintenance programs.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. A proactive approach, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  8. A relevant technical qualification in an Engineering discipline is preferred, but not essential.
