Job Details:

As a Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating production schedules to meet customer demand. You will be working closely with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient production flow. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), Procurement, and Syteline. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
  2. Utilize Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) to forecast and plan production needs.
  3. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of materials required for production.
  4. Use Syteline to track and manage production data, generate reports, and provide insights for decision making.
  5. Collaborate with various departments including sales, operations, and logistics to ensure alignment of production plans.
  6. Anticipate and identify potential issues in the production process and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  7. Continually review and improve production planning processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  8. Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new processes or systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proficient in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), Procurement, and Syteline.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams.
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proven track record of improving production efficiency and reducing costs.
  8. Strong computer skills, particularly in data analysis and reporting tools.
  9. APICS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
