Job Details- Lead the land surveying team, managing resources, resolving complex technical issues, and mentoring survey staff through coaching and training.
- Collaborate with all team members to ensure seamless project execution and deliverables.
- Establish, promote, and uphold quality standards for all projects and work performed by the group.
- Foster a culture of safety within the surveying team.
- Develop proposals and contracts that accurately define the project scope, achieve desired profitability, and ensure feasible project schedules.
- Understand the needs and goals of current and prospective clients to identify new opportunities and cross-sell additional services offered by the firm.
- Contribute to the development of short-term and long-term strategic plans, with a focus on the Piedmont-Triad market.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage long-term partnerships.
- Oversee the profitable operation of the Piedmont-Triad, North Carolina land surveying group.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of North Carolina.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Geomatics preferred.
- 7+ years of land surveying experience, including both office and field work.
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in a related field.
- Strong motivation to develop and expand the land surveying sector within the Piedmont-Triad market.
- Proven ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering firm, serving diverse clients with varying project deliverable standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and mentoring a team of surveying professionals.
- Ability to independently manage and grow key client relationships.
- Possess the technical expertise to guide and support the surveying team through successful project execution and delivery.
