We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Lead/Director level candidate to join our dynamic team civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and managing complex civil engineering projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of large-scale projects, including stormwater management, drainage systems, and hydrology. The individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, design, and execution, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and managing a team of engineers and technical staff in the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects.
  2. Overseeing all aspects of stormwater management, drainage, and hydrology projects, from initial planning and feasibility studies to design, construction, and post-construction monitoring.
  3. Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
  4. Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Applying expert knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  7. Reviewing and approving project designs, plans, and specifications, ensuring their technical accuracy and completeness.
  8. Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies as necessary.
  9. Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure the quality of work and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a focus on stormwater management, drainage, and hydrology.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of engineers and technical staff.
  5. Strong technical skills in civil engineering, with a deep understanding of stormwater management, drainage, and hydrology principles and practices.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  8. Proficiency in using civil engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS.
  9. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards related to civil engineering.
  10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
