Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the packaging industry. This role is pivotal to the smooth running of our operations, offering an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of machinery and systems. The successful candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of machinery, including shrink film and equipment, plastic strapping machines, and engineered machine systems. This position requires a deep understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of machines and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with shrink film and equipment, plastic strapping machines, and engineered machine systems.
  • Install new machinery and equipment in accordance with engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Utilize knowledge of PLC to improve and maintain automation systems.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to guide installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement system improvements and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the packaging industry.
  • Proven experience working with shrink film and equipment, plastic strapping machines, and engineered machine systems.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience with machinery installation.
  • Proficiency with PLC and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.
