We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dedicated team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in financial management and accounting. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  1. Maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
  2. Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, conducting variance analysis to understand trends and make recommendations.
  3. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
  4. Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
  5. Prepare and review monthly bank statements, reconciling any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  6. Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  7. Collaborate with external auditors, providing all required information and facilitating audits.
  8. Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, detailing the company's financial status.
  9. Provide insightful information and expectations to the company's leadership to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), corporate finance, and regulatory standards.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel.
  5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  8. High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
