Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for our facilities. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
  2. Work with the project manager and team to implement the best HVAC solutions for our facilities, including energy-efficient systems.
  3. Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components to manufacturers and company guidelines.
  4. Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform tests on HVAC systems to ensure they are working efficiently and safely.
  5. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand system layout and diagnose issues.
  6. Handle ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring they are working optimally and safely.
  7. Maintain and repair air compressors and related equipment.
  8. Work with electrical systems, including power distribution, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of HVAC systems.
  9. Keep records of all work activities, including repairs and maintenance tasks.
  10. Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
  2. Proficient in handling ammonia, air compressors, and electrical systems.
  3. Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and power distribution.
  4. Experience with HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a commercial environment.
  5. Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and in a team.
  9. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
  10. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  11. Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  12. Availability for emergency or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
