Leading insurance company is looking for a PD Director / Manager to join their growing team! This person will oversee the Property Damage Coverage Unit. This role focuses on overseeing team productivity, ensuring adherence to state claims handling guidelines, and managing thorough claim investigations and resolutions.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the adjuster team.
  • Review files and diaries to ensure proper documentation, adherence to settlement practices, and quality standards.
  • Assign claim file authority levels, assess coverage, investigate facts, and approve settlements within authority limits.
  • Analyze reports and implement procedures to improve claim settlements, customer service, and maintain quality and quantity standards.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Identify and address training needs, develop training programs, and participate in their implementation.
  • Identify system issues and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee administrative tasks including new loss assignments, setting and monitoring performance goals, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Approve payments beyond adjuster authority and manage file transfers to relevant departments (SIU, Litigation, Total Loss, Subrogation).
  • Conduct team meetings, respond to Department of Insurance inquiries, and manage customer claim activities.
  • Ensure all compliance and customer service standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with auto liability claims.
  • Strong technical and administrative skills in auto claims management.
  • Ability to independently handle technical and administrative responsibilities per company policies.
  • Experience in selecting personnel, setting goals, monitoring performance, and effective communication.
  • Strong leadership and training abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to pass state-required exams to become a licensed claims adjuster/supervisor
