Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for machinery and technology. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of our extensive fleet of heavy construction equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your primary duties will include:

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and other machinery.
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with heavy machinery, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
3. Utilizing fleet maintenance software to track and document all service and repair information.
4. Operating heavy machinery as needed, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
5. Responding to emergency breakdowns and resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime.
6. Ordering and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
7. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in heavy equipment technology and applying this knowledge to the maintenance and repair of our fleet.
8. Collaborating with the construction team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and meets all safety standards.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment.

Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.

Experience with fleet maintenance software for documentation.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

As a Journeyman Mechanic, you are expected to have your own set of tools. The company will provide larger tools as needed.
