We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team in the commercial real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a focus on journal entries, year-end audits, year-end tax reports, and cash-on-hand analysis. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Fund Accountant, you will play a vital role in our financial department. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Preparing and maintaining accurate journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
  2. Conducting year-end audits, reviewing financial statements, and identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  3. Preparing year-end tax reports, ensuring all financial information is accurately reported and in compliance with tax laws.
  4. Performing cash-on-hand analysis, monitoring cash flow, and providing recommendations for improving financial efficiency.
  5. Collaborating with other members of the financial team to develop and implement financial strategies and goals.
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and financial regulations, ensuring our company remains in compliance at all times.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Fund Accountant role will have the following qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial principles, including journal entries, year-end audits, year-end tax reports, and cash-on-hand analysis.
  4. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and actionable financial insights.
  5. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial team members.
  7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
