Get ready to put your life-saving skills to work in a dynamic and challenging environment! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees. You will be responsible for providing immediate medical care in emergencies, as well as proactive health monitoring and first aid. This role requires a professional who is quick-thinking, calm under pressure, and committed to the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls promptly and efficiently, providing immediate care to critically ill or injured individuals on-site.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks, identifying potential hazards and implementing preventative measures.
- Administer medications, apply surgical dressings and bandages, and perform other forms of first aid.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment such as defibrillators, suction devices, splints, oxygen delivery systems, and emergency medical bags.
- Collaborate with on-site management and safety teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols.
- Document medical care given, including a detailed report of the nature of the injury/illness, treatment provided, and recommended follow-up care.
- Conduct regular training sessions with employees on first aid procedures, CPR, and other emergency protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked medical station.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a certified EMT Paramedic.
- Valid state Paramedic license.
- Current certification in CPR, Advanced Life Support (ALS), and other relevant fields.
- Proven ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations and manage emergency scenes.
- Excellent physical condition and endurance, capable of lifting and moving patients.
- Proficiency in operating medical equipment and devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- The ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to medical ethics at all times.
