We are an Interventional based pain practice that offers patients treatment for painful disorders including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, major joint injections, spinal cord stim trials, discograms, percutaneous discectomies. All procedures are done in our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical centers.

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Pain Management department. The ideal candidate will have a background in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Spine, and Vein Disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to manage patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history evaluations and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about the management and treatment of patients.
  • Obtain, compile, and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
  • Assist physicians during surgical procedures.
  • Provide education to patients and families around the nature of the disease, treatment options, and the recovery process.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of the latest treatments and advancements in the field of pain management.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Must have a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Spine, or Vein Disease.
