As we continue to expand and gain new contracts, we are seeking two Field Managers/Superintendents for our Central Valley Office in Clovis, CA, and our Central Coast Office in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Field Manager - Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, including site development, land surveying, and blueprint interpretation. Your expertise in scheduling, dealing with subcontractors, contractors, trades, silt fencing, drain inlet, civil, utility, stormwater, and MS Project will be essential in this role. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from planning to implementation.
  2. Manage and coordinate with site development teams, land surveyors, and other professionals to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
  3. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and diagrams, ensuring all work is done in compliance with these documents.
  4. Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, contractors, and trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
  5. Oversee installation of silt fencing, drain inlets, and other stormwater management measures, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  6. Manage civil and utility work, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure smooth progress.
  7. Use MS Project or equivalent project management software to track project progress, manage resources, and communicate with stakeholders.
  8. Regularly inspect sites to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to design specifications.
  9. Resolve any issues that may arise, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure minimal impact on project timeline and budget.
  10. Ensure all safety protocols are followed on the construction site, promoting a culture of safety among all workers.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, site development, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience managing subcontractors, contractors, and trades.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, including land surveying, blueprint reading, and scheduling.
  4. Experience with silt fencing, drain inlet, civil, utility, and stormwater management.
  5. Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent project management software.
  6. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  9. Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
  10. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety on the construction site.
