Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our fast-paced finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a proven track record of managing multiple tax engagements and providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Tax Senior, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to:

  1. Managing a portfolio of diverse tax clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
  2. Overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
  3. Maintaining and developing strong client relationships on various tax consulting/compliance engagements.
  4. Advising clients on a variety of tax issues including tax compliance, tax planning, and tax controversy.
  5. Coordinating with specialty tax practice on complicated tax matters in the state, federal, and international arenas.
  6. Reviewing complex income tax returns including corporate, partnership, and individual clients.
  7. Assisting with business development efforts, including presentations and meetings.
  8. Training and mentoring junior tax staff.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  2. CPA certification is highly preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.
  4. Proficiency in Tax Preparation.
  5. Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns.
  6. Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities.
  7. Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  8. Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  9. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  10. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
