Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and compliance, with experience across multiple entities such as S corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates. The Tax Associate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality tax services and providing strategic tax planning for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax projections and estimates.

Conduct tax research to address complex tax issues and ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations and legislation.

Collaborate with senior team members to develop tax strategies that align with client goals and objectives.

Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related inquiries.

Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to clients and team members.

Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred or in progress.

Minimum of 2-3 years of tax preparation experience, preferably in a public accounting firm.

Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations for various entities, including S corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates.

Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
