Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
- Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on matters related to labor and employment law.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Draft and negotiate settlement agreements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Keep clients informed of case progress and legal developments.
- Adhere to all professional and ethical rules and standards.
- Continuously update knowledge on changes and developments in California Employment Law and California Labor Laws.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, with 2-8 years of labor and employment litigation experience preferred.
- Proven experience drafting briefs, conducting legal research, and managing all aspects of the litigation process.
- Extensive knowledge of California Employment Law and California Labor Laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and continuous learning.
