Job Details

Core Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Electromechanical Technician (EMT) will maintain and repair electronic, mechanical and pneumatic production line equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works from schematics, drawings, charts, manuals, flow charts, verbal and written instructions
  • Uses various hand and power tools, testing equipment such as RPM meters, frequency meters, watt meters, oscilloscopes, multi-meters and bridges or other designed testers to determine problems and necessary repairs
  • Performs required installation of new, replaced, repaired or modified equipment at proper stations of production lines (done under supervisory direction or with assistance of other departmental personnel; performs test run to ensure equipment is in proper running condition
  • Reviews work orders concerning malfunctioning equipment considering priority of maintaining production schedules with minimum amount of down time.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs as required, electrical and/or electronic circuitry considering problems concerning motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, registers, adders, counters, encoder, decoders, lamps, sensors, fuses, and other similar equipment parts or units
  • Repairs and/or replaces malfunctioning parts such as gears, pulleys, cams, chains, sprockets, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, vacuum pump, air valves and cylinders, regulators, chucks, drive motors, heaters, or other such equipment parts
  • Checks for air/liquid, leaks in lines, hydraulic deionization and particle filters; repairs or replaces as required. Handles routine servicing functions, ie. cleans and ways mold bars, lubricates chains, motors and sprockets, changes oil, cleans and services TIC baths, replaces stations and hand cappers, replaces rollers, conveyor belts, gas bottles; adjusts gas regulators and performs other like preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintains records in E-Maintenance system
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
