Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

We are a dynamic and growing proprietary options market making trading shop dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to maintain a competitive edge. We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure / Networking Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring system reliability, optimizing performance, and supporting our trading infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Reliability and Uptime: Focus on maintaining high system reliability and uptime to support continuous trading operations.
• Performance Monitoring and Capacity Management: Monitor system performance, manage capacity, and proactively address potential issues.
• Process Automation: Automate repetitive or error-prone manual processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Technology Research: Stay abreast of new technologies and assess their potential to enhance our infrastructure.
• Network Troubleshooting: Utilize best practices for network troubleshooting and ensure robust network performance.
• Scripting: Write and maintain scripts (Python, shell, etc.) to automate tasks and streamline operations.
• Network Hardware: Manage and maintain network hardware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Firewall and VPN Configuration: Configure firewalls and VPNs with a strong focus on network security.
• Network Migrations and Server Configuration: Plan and execute network migrations, and configure new servers to meet evolving business needs.

Desired Traits:

• Linux Server Management: Experience managing Linux server environments, particularly in a trading firm setting.
• Docker and Grafana: Familiarity with Docker containers and Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
• Options Trading Knowledge: Understanding of basic options trading principles.
• CME Market Infrastructure: Familiarity with the CME market infrastructure and its nuances.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Linux and Network Troubleshooting: Proficient in Linux environments and network troubleshooting best practices.
• Scripting Skills: Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python and shell.
• Network Hardware Knowledge: Solid understanding of network hardware and its management.
• Firewall and VPN Configuration: Ability to configure firewalls and VPNs, with a focus on ensuring robust network security.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and skilled at managing workload efficiently.
