We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Civil Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment with a leading law firm. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to handle challenging and high-profile civil litigation cases, work closely with senior partners, and make a significant impact in our firm and on our clients' lives.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Associate Attorney in our Civil Litigation department, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Representing clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pre-trial proceedings, depositions, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
  2. Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
  3. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
  4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
  5. Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
  6. Collaborating with legal staff to prepare for trial and coordinate case management.
  7. Participating in business development activities to attract new clients.
  8. Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the firm’s clients.
  9. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  4. Proven experience handling a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters.
  5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and team members.
  8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
