Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our construction projects, providing accurate estimates and quotes which are integral to our budgeting process. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in concrete estimating and contribute to the success of our construction projects. Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates of materials and labor for concrete construction projects.
2. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
3. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
5. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
6. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
7. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
8. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
9. Prepare and present cost estimates and budget proposals to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in order to maintain competitive edge.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in concrete estimating or a related field.
3. Proficient in industry software, including estimating, project management, and financial analysis tools.
4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Proven ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
9. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
10. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
11. Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on attitude.
12. Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
