Our healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering world-class care to patients in an ambulatory surgical center. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that performs a wide range of surgical procedures in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, your primary duties will include:
- Providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in our outpatient center.
- Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Maintaining a sterile operating room and adhering to all facility health and safety standards.
- Assisting surgeons during operations and acting as an OR Circulator.
- Administering prescribed medications and carefully monitoring patient reactions.
- Collaborating with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures, postoperative care, and any potential complications.
- Participating in professional development activities to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
- A valid Registered Nurse license.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in an outpatient center or ambulatory surgical center.
- Experience as an OR Circulator.
- Exceptional clinical skills, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and make critical decisions under pressure.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
