Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing commercial construction projects from the initial concept to the final execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, project management, and budgeting, with an emphasis on quality control and experience in working on government-funded projects. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to manage large-scale projects and lead a team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities:

The Permanent Project Manager - Commercial will:

  • Manage the S&P Quality Assurance Program for the project.
  • Oversee staff by setting clear performance goals, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and facilitating hands-on training.
  • Track, review, and coordinate all approvals for shop drawings and submissions.
  • Collaborate with the onsite Superintendent to ensure adherence to contract requirements.
  • Develop and track all necessary reports and logs.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Support and enforce adherence to company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Develop value schedules and secure billing approval from the architect/owner.
  • Organize and participate in all project meetings and final inspections.
  • Draft the project budget, process change orders, and oversee adjustments to cost control budgets.
  • Consistent attendance at the worksite is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry.
  • Must have experience managing projects with budgets valued at $20M+.
  • Experience working on government projects is ideal.
