Ideally looking for an Up and Coming Accounting Professional that has spent some time within Public Accounting. Experience with Financial Reporting is a big part of this opportunity.

Job Details:

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is integral to our finance department and requires a professional with a strong understanding of the following: GAAP, SOX, Reconciliation, Consolidation, Reporting, Financial Statements, Balance Sheet, Month End, ASC 606, Revenue Recognition, and General Ledger. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insights to management based on financial data. With 3-5+ years of experience in the field, you will be a critical player in our financial operations, bringing your expertise to a team that values collaboration, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
2. Ensure compliance with SOX controls and manage SOX documentation.
3. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Coordinate and execute the consolidation of accounts and financial statements.
5. Analyze financial data and provide financial reports and projections to management.
6. Review and manage the balance sheet and income statement accounts.
7. Coordinate and complete month-end and year-end close procedures.
8. Implement and monitor the application of ASC 606 and Revenue Recognition.
9. Maintain the general ledger system and prepare adjustments as necessary.
10. Participate in annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or related field with a strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, Reconciliation, Consolidation, Reporting, Financial Statements, Balance Sheet, Month End, ASC 606, Revenue Recognition, and General Ledger.
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
4. Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
10. Proven ability to meet daily and monthly deliverables.
