Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the technology industry. This is a hybrid role that will require you to work both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of accounting, with a particular focus on compensation and benefits accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger entries. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our financial operations, contributing to our overall business strategy and organizational success.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experince, be open to working in office two days a week, and have a great attitude. Public accounting experince is a plus!

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including, but not limited to:

1. Preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
2. Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Assisting in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
4. Overseeing and managing compensation and benefits accounting.
5. Reviewing general ledger entries and correcting any discrepancies.
6. Ensuring compliance with SOX and other applicable regulations.
7. Collaborating with other departments to streamline and improve accounting procedures.
8. Providing support for annual audits and liaising with external auditors.
9. Assisting in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
10. Participating in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA certification is a strong plus.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the technology industry.
4. Proficiency in compensation and benefits accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
5. Thorough understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
9. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
