Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role within the construction industry, with a focus on ground-up commercial.
  • Proficiency in managing the technical aspects of RFIs, change orders, submittals, and purchase orders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficient in project management software.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of commercial construction project management including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Manage the process of submitting plans, receiving approvals, and ensuring that all projects meet building and safety codes.
  • Handle RFIs, change orders, submittals, and purchase orders, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Monitor job costs regularly, ensuring projects stay within budget and identifying potential cost overruns early.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining open communication and managing expectations.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and status of each project.
