Job Description:

As a Senior Tax Accountant at [Your Firm Name], you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing expert tax advice, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with CCH software, a commitment to continuing education, and excellent client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.

Research and analyze tax issues and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.

Utilize CCH software for tax preparation and research.

Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide clear, accurate, and timely communication.

Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities.

Participate in continuing education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and best practices.

Assist with IRS and state tax audits, including preparation and representation.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.

Proficiency with CCH software and other tax preparation tools.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
