Job Details

This role will require the candidate to work across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and homecare, providing comprehensive care to patients with diverse needs. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to enhance patient health and wellbeing.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, taking into account their medical history, symptoms, and fitness levels.
  2. Develop personalized treatment plans that align with patients' specific needs and objectives, and regularly review and adjust these plans as necessary.
  3. Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches to facilitate patient recovery and improve mobility, strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and overall physical function.
  4. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and strategies to promote health and prevent injury.
  5. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  7. Stay abreast of the latest developments, trends, and research in the field of physical therapy, and continually strive to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Current state license to practice physical therapy.

Exceptional patient service skills and a strong ability to build rapport and trust with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of the latest physical therapy techniques, equipment, and best practices.

Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.

Ability to lift and move patients as needed, and to stand and walk for extended periods.
