We are in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to join our client's accounting services team in a permanent position. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining clients' financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all facets of bookkeeping, which includes bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable, preparing 1099 forms, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  2. Assist in preparing financial reports.
  3. Prepare and manage 1099 forms and AP Aging reports.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
  5. Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is ideal.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within public accounting firms or real estate companies.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with QuickBooks and bill.com.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping.
  5. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Exceptional data entry skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
