Summary

As a Supervisory Program Analyst, you will oversee the provision of management and support services essential to the effective and efficient operation of the service center.

Location of position:

Public Building Service (PBS), National Capital Region (NCR), Office of Facilities Management (OFM)

Duties

Devises methods for obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating the information needed to develop long-range budget, organizational, operational, and program requirements.Devises methods to be used in securing and analyzing information and data needed to assist the organization Branch Chief, Deputy, or Director in the development of short- and long-range planning projects, including business plans, strategic plans, and tactical plans.Develops and reviews organizational changes to reflect changing conditions, program requirements or new management concepts.Plans work schedules, to assure an even flow and distribution of work; make changes in organization of work or assignment of functions to positions to improve workflow and productivity.Develops employees' performance standards and makes formal appraisal of work. Gives advice, counsel and/or instructions to employees on both work and administrative matters.Requirements

The GS-13 salary range starts at $117,962 per year.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the

GS-12

level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience developing procedures for establishing balanced program plans, formulating forecasts of conditions affecting the operating environment, and issuing integrated and comprehensive program planning documents. This experience must include participating and coordinating with an organization's senior leadership and/or stakeholders in the identification and resolution of program deficiencies.

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Understanding of budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives.Knowledge of the application of fact-finding and investigative techniquesKnowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.Ability to supervise a team of technical and professional staff in developing, coordinating and implementing operation and technical activities and requirements.Ability to influence, motivate, and challenge others; adapt leadership styles to a variety of situations.Additional hurdle assessments, such as narrative responses or other assessments, may be administered to applicants who meet the requirements of the first hurdle, e.g., the minimum qualification requirements. If additional assessments are used, you will be provided with further instructions.
