ResponsibilitiesROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Liferay Lead Developer to join our client's team to plan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate web portal solutions, and to serve as a team/technical lead for Liferay-based portal projects and servicesPerform hands on design, development, and support activities for web portals with focus on feature rich design, usability, and site performanceDeliver solutions based on requirements and scheduleEstablish and execute traceable unit and integration testsProvide estimates for work effort on assigned projectsMaintain Liferay portal environment following standard guidelines for designing and developing secure, supportable, reusable, service-oriented and performing solutionsUnderstand and apply industry practices, architectural standards and department policies and procedures relating to work assignmentsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they ariseREQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (in order of level of need)In-depth understanding of Liferay platform and development best practices
Qualifications
Experience delivering extranet/customer solutions from start to finishAt least 5 years of experience developing and implementing enterprise-level Java applicationsAt least 2 years of experience as a Dev Team Lead5+ years of Java/J2EE application design and development experienceExperience with MVC design patternExperience with Hibernate/Spring frameworksExperience with MavenExperience implementing and utilizing Web services, Service/System IntegrationsStrong Web UI development skills (i.e HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirementsExperience delivering technical design & architecture documentationExperience with code management tools, automated build setup, and deployment procedures5+ years of strong Liferay hands-on experience:Experience configuring Liferay sites and organizations with permissionsExperience developing portlets, custom themes, and WCM features in LiferayExperience implementing logging, usage metrics, audit trail, and usage analytics componentsExperience installing, configuring, and administering Liferay applications in both production and non-production environmentsProject experience with Liferay 7.x DXP is requiredProject experience with ReactJS (at least version 17)Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skillsIntegration with enterprise systems and overall architectural standards knowledgePersonal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlinesExcellent communication presentation and organization skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple IT team disciplines and with business users
