We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Data Analytics - Business Insights team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
Product features related to data mining, data transformations, enrichment, and analytics.
Analyze and interpret complex datasets related to workplace and applications usages and user activity.
Translate findings into actionable insights and recommendations that drive continuous improvement.
Discuss with product managers, UX designers, and other backend teams to understand requirements and translate the same into functional specifications.
Seize every opportunity to refactor code in the interests of maintainability and reusability.
Lead and provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and bring out the best in them.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
5+ years of experience in software development, data science, machine learning and/or analytics with a strong focus on solving real-world problems and driving actionable insights.
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling techniques, and predictive analytics.
Proficiency with data science tools and platforms such as Python, R, TensorFlow, SQL, and related libraries and frameworks.
Experienced in Java programming for developing microservices.
Strong experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or similar.
Experience with Cloud big data technologies such as Azure Data Explorer, Hadoop, Spark, or distributed computing frameworks.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Published research or contributions to the data analytics or data science community.
Experience working on large scale telemetry data analytics.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications in relevant tools and technologies.
This role is based in our San Jose, CA office. Hybrid environment, 3 days a week in office.
